ZEXCOM is the Zimbabwe Ex-Combatants Foundation Investment Fund Limited — a legacy investment vehicle uniting at least 4,386 liberation war veterans in building enduring wealth across property, mining, and security.
ZEXCOM — the Zimbabwe Ex-Combatants Foundation Investment Fund Limited — was founded in 1997 by former freedom fighters who received gratuity payouts from the Zimbabwean government following the liberation struggle. Each member contributed part of their gratuity to form a collective investment enterprise.
The fund's purpose is to invest veterans' pooled resources in commercial ventures and assets that generate long-term benefits for members and their families — creating not just wealth, but an enduring economic legacy for the next generation.
Under the decisive leadership of Cde Crispen Mashayamombe, the current Board has led a remarkable turnaround: repaying USD 580,000 in inherited debt, restoring full governance, and aggressively expanding into mining and security operations.
ZEXCOM operates three subsidiary companies, each strategically positioned to generate returns, provide employment for veterans' families, and build long-term national value.
The new board inherited a USD 580,000 debt and repaid it in full within two years — a testament to the discipline and capability of ZEXCOM's current leadership.
